KidsCode is a fun, safe, and educational platform where kids in grades K–12 can learn to code by creating their own video games. Through interactive tutorials, game-building tools, and creative challenges, kids build coding skills while sharing their games with a community of young creators. With a subscription option that unlocks extra features and supports STEM-related charities, KidsCode empowers the next generation of digital innovators—while giving back to the world.
The UX wireframing and research approach behind the KidsCode website focused on creating an intuitive, engaging, and age-appropriate experience for both young learners and their guardians. We conducted user research through interviews and observations with students, parents, and educators to understand their goals, challenges, and digital behaviors. The wireframes prioritize clarity and accessibility with large visuals, playful icons, and minimal text to ensure easy navigation for early readers. Interactive elements like progress badges, gamified learning paths, and a visual donation dashboard were designed to motivate users while reinforcing learning outcomes. Safety, parental oversight, and educational value were at the core of every design decision, ensuring that KidsCode is not just a platform—but a safe, empowering space for creativity and growth.
